Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe

Wind Stength: 8/15
Surf / Sea State: slight
Air Temperature: 18
Sea Temperature: 9
Weather: sunny
Max Speed: 21.6 (knots - unless stated otherwise)

With the forecast 19 degrees and 14 mph wind I was at the water by 9 but with my meter reading 2 mph I had an hour reading the paper in the van. Then a breeze filled in a little and I rigged 9.4 for another longboard cruise.I had an hour on the water before the others arrived beating down the coast to the manor with one eye open for the missing 1000lb bomb the disposal team misplaced during the week !!!! On returning to the dip Mark S was rigging 10.5 on his formula board so we had another beat toward the manor,I was leading but being caught when luckily for me we sailed out of the wind so returned to the dip where the wind returned and I managed to get back first which just goes to show that 10 year old longboards rule !!!! By this time 2/3 others were out with 8m + sails and 4 kiters were having a great time.I had a couple of good reaches to Bawdsey martello ,so after 3hrs 40 mins on the water it was time to call it a day.
